To be appearing in NDA entrance Exam, you must qualify the eligibility criteria required for NDA exam. As per the UPSC rules, candidate must have qualified the following Criteria as given below:
Age Criteria for NDA Exam 2019
For NDA (1) 2019: The candidates possessing age between 2nd July 2000 to 1st July 2003 are eligible for the examination. If born before 2nd July 2000 and after 1st July 2003 then not eligible for NDA (1) 2019 exam.
For NDA (2) 2019: Those who have age between 2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2004 are permitted to write the exam. If the candidate bears the age before 2nd January 2001 and after 1st January 2004, they are not allowed to appear the exam.
Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA examination. Girls are not allowed for the NDA entrance examination.
· Applicant should be Indian national.
· Required educational qualification for Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Aspirants must have cleared 12th examination or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics subjects from recognized State Education Board.
Applicant must be physically fit as per the prescribed physical criteria of the respective authority.
NDA Exam Pattern 2019, Marking Scheme, Syllabus
NDA 2019 Exam held two times in a year through offline mode (written test). The exam consist of 2 sections- Mathematics and General Ability Test. Total duration of NDA 2019 was 5 hours combined for both sections.
Those who clear the written exam will proceed to the NDA SSB Interview Process. UPSC sets the cut off score to prepare the merit list of candidates who are called for the five day selection process.
All the questions in the exam will be objective i.e., Multiple Choice Questions will be asked.
The medium of the exam will be bilingual with total 900 marks.
Out of 270 questions, 120 questions are from Mathematics and 150 questions from General Ability section.
There is provision of negative marking as per the marks allotted to questions asked.
The syllabus covered under NDA 2019 is of CBSE 10+2 standards.

NDA 2019 was conducted in offline mode and all the questions were of MCQ type. The exam is held in both English and Hindi language. Candidates are asked to attempt two sections- Mathematics and General Ability Test.

NDA 2019 Marking Scheme
NDA consists of two sections- Mathematics and General ability test.
In Mathematics section, there will be total 120 questions of 300 marks.
All questions will carry 2.5 marks each, which will only be allotted for choosing the correct answer. 0.83 Marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
General ability test will comprise 600 marks; 200 marks are allotted to English and 400 marks in total are allotted to General Knowledge.
In this section, there will be total 150 questions, 50 from English and 100 from General Knowledge.
Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer in this section.
A deduction of 1.33 Marks will be there for each wrong answer. There will be no mark for unanswered questions.
What Type of Questions are Asked in NDA Exam?
NDA will have questions from two sections mainly- Mathematics and General Ability section. The questions will mainly be asked of 10+2 level. Solve as many NDA Previous Year Question Papers as possible.
In mathematics, candidates must thoroughly prepare-
For general ability section, it is important to prepare well for both the sub-sections, i.e., English and General Knowledge.
For English section, candidates must focus on grammar, comprehension and reading abilities.
General knowledge questions can be asked from current events, physics, chemistry, general science, history, etc.

NDA Exam Syllabus
The syllabus of NDA 2019 has been divided into two parts namely Mathematics and General Ability Test. The General Ability Test will contain questions from various topics such as General Knowledge (GK), English, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, General Science and Current Events.
Most of the questions asked in NDA exam will come from 10+2 level, especially in Mathematics. For preparing General Ability test section candidates should read newspaper on daily basis.

NDA Application Form 2019
· The NDA application form filled and submit via online process through the official site of UPSC.
· The application form will be released from 4th January, 2019
· The images should be in JPG format with photograph (3KB - 40KB) and Signature (1KB - 10KB )size.
· Candidates are suggested to fill the application form carefully.
· No change will be authorized after final submitting the application form.
· Candidates must note down that there is no need to send the printed application form to the authority.
NDA Application Fees
· The application fee for general and OBC Candidates is Rs. 100/-
· SC/ST and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ROs exempted from examination fee.
· The application fee payment can be done via cash payment in any branch of SBI Bank or through net banking.
NDA SSB – Interview after Clearing Written Exam:
Students are required to first clear NDA Written Examination & after that Interview Process will be done. In other words candidates that clear written exam are called for the interview, which is commonly known as the SSB interview & it is a process of near around 5 Days.

The 5 personality and intelligence test schedule is as under:
Day 1: On First Day Basic Intelligence Test will be done of the candidate.
Day 2: On Second Day Psychological Test will be done.
Day 3 & Day 4: The Group Testing Officers also known as – GTO
Day 5: On Fifth Day Conference is taken
